Landfill-bound bagged trash is accepted at all LRSWMD drop-off sites.

Bulky waste (loose trash and large items) is accepted at Johnson, Stowe and Worcester only. This includes most Construction & Demo debris.

per 30 gallon bag - $5
per 45 gallon bag - $7
per cubic yard - $32
per ton (Stowe only) - $160 ($25 min. scale fee)

Vermont only has ONE operating landfill. It’s important to recycle as many items as can be recycled in order to preserve landfill space and keep our environment safe — that’s why some items are banned from the landfill.
